IBM Startup Challenge finaliza actividades
El programa IBM Startup Challenge llegó a la cuarta y última etapa en Ciudad de México y Guadalajara.
Los jóvenes finalistas, tuvieron la oportunidad de asistir al corporativo de IBM, donde pudieron realizar un prototipo de su proyecto y trabajar junto con ejecutivos de IBM, quienes brindaron consejos para la presentación de su pitch en la final.
En Ciudad de México, fueron 11 equipos finalistas que presentaron su innovadora idea, construida con todos los conocimientos adquiridos durante 3 meses del programa, como habilidades blandas, diferentes metodologías como desing thinking, programación por IBM, etc.
Tras un difícil veredicto por los jueces, el equipo ganador de IBM Startup Challenge en Ciudad de México fue PLS "Playas limpias y seguras", un proyecto innovador y viable que tiene el objetivo de limpiar las playas de México de manera divertida. Mediante un video juego con realidad virtual, el usuario va recolectando monedas en el océano conectado mientras un drone programado recolecta basura en las playas. La cantidad de monedas que el usuario vaya recolectando es la cantidad de basura que el dron recolecta basura a la par.
En Guadalajara, Jalisco, de los 53 finalistas que llegaron a esta última fase, el equipo con el proyecto "Todo Verde" fue el ganador, una idea con el objetivo de de crear biodiésel a base algas marinas.
Gracias a IBM por hacer posible este proyecto, logrando impulsar a los estudiantes de educación media superior.
